Samsung Android Phone Keeps Restarting

The phone continuously restarts at the Samsung logo. This is a common problem, especially after a software update or a drop. Fortunately, there are several solutions to try before you have to send your phone in for repair.

Restart in Safe Mode

Safe mode starts your phone without any third-party apps. If the phone doesn't restart in a loop in safe mode, a recently installed app is likely the cause.

Press and hold the power button until the power menu appears.
Long-press on the "Power off" option until a prompt to reboot in safe mode appears.
Tap "OK" to confirm.
If the issue is resolved, restart normally and uninstall your most recent apps one by one until you find the culprit.

Wipe the Cache Partition

The cache partition stores temporary files. Sometimes, these files can get corrupted and cause boot issues.

Turn off your phone.
Press and hold the "Volume Up" and "Power" buttons simultaneously.
When the Samsung logo appears, release the power button but keep holding the "Volume Up" button.
The Android recovery menu should appear. Use the volume buttons to navigate to "Wipe cache partition".
Press the power button to select it.
Once complete, select "Reboot system now".

Factory Reset

WARNING: This will erase all your data (photos, contacts, apps). Back up anything important if you can access the recovery mode or if the phone works intermittently.

If nothing else has worked, a factory reset is often the most effective solution.

If possible, back up your data.
Follow steps 1-3 from the "Wipe the Cache Partition" section to enter the recovery menu.
Use the volume buttons to navigate to "Wipe data/factory reset".
Press the power button to confirm. Use the volume buttons to select "Yes".
Once the reset is complete, select "Reboot system now".

If Nothing Else Works

If none of these software solutions work, the problem is likely hardware-related. The battery or the motherboard might be damaged. In this case, it's best to contact a professional repair technician.
