How to Replace the iPhone 11 Battery
As iPhones age, battery replacements become the #1 request. Keep your battery stock organized with Repair Pro. Here is the guide to giving an iPhone 11 a fresh life.
🛠 Tools Needed
- Pentalobe P2 Screwdriver
- Tri-point Y000 Screwdriver
- Suction Handle
- Opening Picks
- Spudger
- Tweezers
Step 1: Remove Pentalobe Screws
Power off the iPhone 11. Remove the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom of the device.
Step 2: Open the Display
Heat the bottom edge. Apply a suction cup and lift to create a gap. Insert an opening pick. Slide it around the perimeter to cut the adhesive. Open the display to the right (like a book).
Step 3: Disconnect Battery and Display
Remove the 3 Y000 screws securing the battery connector shield. Remove the shield and disconnect the battery. Then, remove the 5 Y000 screws securing the logic board cover to disconnect the display cables and remove the screen completely for safety.
Step 4: Remove Battery Adhesive
The battery is held by 6 stretch-release adhesive strips (3 top, 3 bottom). Using tweezers, peel back the black tabs. Slowly pull the strips out horizontally. Keep the angle flat to avoid breaking them. Note: If a strip breaks, you may need to pry gently with a plastic tool or use isopropyl alcohol.
Step 5: Remove and Replace Battery
Once all adhesive is removed, lift the old battery out. Apply new adhesive strips to the new battery. Place the new battery into the housing and press down gently.
Step 6: Reassemble
Reconnect the display cables. Reconnect the battery last. Test the device. Secure all shields and screws. Close the display and tighten the bottom Pentalobe screws.
